Last night, my sister, Aubrey, and I went to Relief Society. We had a wonderful woman speak to us. "Finding the Authentic YOU!" We both needed to hear it, we both listened, noted, and came home inspired.
Nick had all the kids in bed, so I nestled right down next to him. Snuggled for a bit, then closed my eyes. Then the alarm went off... for Nick. YES! I can still sleep, and sleep I did. I glanced at the clock, 6:19, okay, NOW I NEED TO GET UP FAST!!
I tip toe to Dasher's room, only to find that NOTHING has been laid out. You see, each of them share a bedroom with their younger sibling, so the night before, they are SUPPOSED to have their clothes, shoes, and backpack all laid out at the end of their bed, so when I do wake them up, I scoop the stuff up, drop the clothes off in the bathroom, and the backpack and shoes, to the front room. So, here I am tiptoeing in Dasher and Bosston's room, CAN'T find what "HE" wants to wear (not the morning to get a fashion opinion) when Bosston pops his head up. I whisper, "Just lay back down buddy..." and he does, and Dasher takes his clothes to the bathroom, showers and gets dressed.
In the meantime, I have to do the SAME routine in Emmah and Lucy's room; only their room creeks. Every floor board plays a different tune it seems like, so you have to use extra stealth. I push the door, CREEK, I slide through, RUSTLE, make my way to her dresser, which she has crammed shut, (sometimes having them put their clothes away is not the answer) Find her pants, shirts, when I look up, and low and behold, their she is. Our beautiful, and surprisingly cheery daughter. I try to avoid making eye contact, but this is what she mumbles, "hi mama" So, 6:29, Lucy is awake. There is my chaos (pronounced KAY- OS, not CH A OS) Long story, ask Nick some time!!!!!
Happy Reading, and Happy Wednesday... cheers to the morning routine.
ps, Dasher's soccer team was promoted up to the next level. Maybe a coach complained of another team complained about their skill level, or their height, but now, instead of U7, Dasher now plays U9, with goalies, and real referees!!!! [proud mom moment]

Sounds like my morning, but add food fight into that and you have my morning.
