Yesterday, 9-18-10, we decided to go walk around Toys R Us. Honestly, don't know why, but that is where we headed after our long day of soccer games. Funny, Nick and I wanted to go do something, but the kids just wanted to stay home and watch High School Musical 2. So, while we were walking around looking at the girl toys, and then the boy toys, the kids wanted to play in the powerwheel cars. I remember as a kid going to the toy store and pretending to drive those cars, and now here I am being the mom who gets to drag all four of her kids out of the cars.
We were just rounding an isle, when we came upon a GODZILLA toy, and without hesitation, Dasher exclaims, "look gorgonzola!!" So cute, and funny, a yummy cheese, not a scary lizard thing. SSHH, he didn't want us to tell anybody, but I had to write it down to remember.
Also, while at the store, I came upon my favorite Christmas present ever. Matel, has brought back some of the more popular barbies from long ago, and there she was, Peaches and Cream. I almost cried. Mostly because I remember playing with my very own, and also, because they were asking almost $50 and I knew I just could not ever pay that much for a toy, especially a toy for me. It was a fun trip and the kids' Santa list just got bigger and more complex. We have to start early... we don't go hog wild, but it sure is fun to see the LIGHT on Christmas morning.
Happy Reading.
