Portland, Oregon is on the map. Okay, they have been for quite sometime, but I needed an intro to this post. Yesterday, I took the kids to IKEA. We met Noelle, and her four kids, and Robin, my mother in law. I was so happy that they were able to come and spend the day, literally, at IKEA with me. IKEA is an hour from our home, so we don't go very much, and everytime I do go, I wish I could go more often. The "play place" for the kids still had an hour till they opened, so we decided to take all EIGHT kids through the main part of the store. For the most part, they did great. Of course, when Emmah saw the room displayed as an art studio, she took off, and imagined herself drawing and sketching. When the other kids saw her sitting and playing, they to had to get in on the action. We didn't let them do that too much.
But once, we got to the children's bedroom displays, it was like DISNEYLAND for them. We let them go a little crazy, but quickly back under control. Enjoy the pictures.
You can see their shirts really well. For step by step scroll down to the next post titled, Groov-A-Licious! We are having a great summer by the way. Shopping list from IKEA: roll of paper, paints, paint brushes, two scarf/neck tie holders, and two media boxes. Followed by lunch upstairs, where all five of us ate for under $15. I do love IKEA.
