Groov-A-Licious!!

"what is tie-dye?" Oh, my have we failed as parents. Our children don't know what tie-dye is. This led us to our next thing on the list. TIE DYE shirts. After lookin at many options, I found these kits that came with everything except the shirts. All I had to do was add water to the bottles, shake and squirt. Super easy, even the kids could do it, and they did. I only helped with the rubber banding. Okay, I did Lucy's, but again, she's 2!
BEFORE. I was lucky to find all four shirts for under $10. Sometimes, WalMart can be a mom's best friend.

Emmah deciding where to twist.

All FOUR shirts twisted and ready

Our selection of colors. I was so happy that I found these kits. Not only did they come with gloves, rubber bands and super easy directions, they were also on sale for 50% off. It was like BUY ONE GET ON FREE. We all know, I love FREE.

We took the shirts outside and went to work. I told the kids not to worry about the table, we would spary it down later, and to use the shirt to "mop" up an excess dye. Dasher spent a total of five minutes on his shirt, and Bosston like three. I kept reminding myself, "this is their project, let me do as they please." Emmah on the other hand, spent close to twenty minutes. I did finally have to tell her to stop so you could actually see the colors and not just muddy brown.

See, she is an artist.

All wrapped up. Now we just wait

Like my plug for GLAD Cling Wrap? Hey, gotta pay the bills right?

TA DA!!! The shirts. They didn't pose like I wanted, but you can see most of their shirts. This is us at IKEA. The kids loved the way their project turned out, and we got quite a few compliments during our tour through the store. You can see more of that tour in the previous post, but if you're reading this, you've probably already seen the inside of IKEA!!! Happy Summer.
