Artwork on the Wall

One of the things on the list is to paint a mural. I hadn't really considered this project when I wrote it down, but with inspiration from IKEA, (next post) we made it happen. I had the idea to tape butcher paper on the side of the garage, and just let the kids paint whatever they pleased. If you have seen the movie, RAMONA and BEEZUS, you will remember in the movie that Ramona and her dad drew the world's longest picture. Hence, my idea for a huge mural. Just a plug, if you haven't seen that movie, you should!
So, this morning, with the help from my Mr. we covered the garage with paper, and almost a roll of tape. It was windy. I set up the table with paints, brushes and plates, and let our minds do the rest. Warning, A LOT of pictures, One of my own personal goals this summer is to take more pictures, and since I am doing that, you get to see them. Also, my grandparents in Wyoming read the blog, along with my parents (right? mom and dad, you do read the blog?) So, more pictures the better. ENJOY yet again, and keep scrolling down, there are two more posts after this one. Hey, I am in the blogging mood, don't be jealous!!!

we all have an inner artist, sometimes you just need a little paint and a brush to see that!

Emmah working on her masterpiece.

It started out being a castle.

Even Chloe and Lucy joined the messy fun

Picasso?!

Looking good.

Dasher and Braxten with their ANGRY BIRDS scene. As you can see, Braxten's pig is smiling, therefore, the birds did not win.

So, what started out as a castle, ended up being a city scape. FULL HOUSE style.

Logan looking grim.

Bosston just painted tornados everywhere.

a close up of Braxten's victoriou pig!!!

Nick with his car and ode to blazer glory. Which btw, I just found out, that I received 12 free tickets to use throughout next season. Man, I am on fire. Let's just hope this lock out ends.

My angry birds, mountain scene, and my tie dyed shirt. I got dye on the shirt while assisting my little ones, so just decided to go with it, and I am pleased with the results.

Robin, Nick's mom with her Bob Ross. Out of all of us, she really is an artist. She has done some amazing paintings. I think she was just being nice to the rest of us amateurs, and only painting this scene. She had some happy little trees!

Paul, Nick's dad with his house and bird.

Noelle with her cherry blossom branch and her own moutain scene. I think we all returned to third grade, when drawing our mountains.

Emmah adding some touches in style. Like her clutch? You can thank her Aunt Holly for that. Yesterday she opened her tote of purses and let us girls who were there take some home. I came home with four purses, one wallet and a new beach/pool bag. LOVE IT.
