Summer time journaling

President Spencer W. Kimball instructed us to keep a journal. I am not the best person at journaling, but now that have these amazing blogs, this has become our family journal. One of our "to do's" was to journal this summer. Today we made our journals. It is so simple. You can create it however you choose. This is what we chose!:
first you get your supplies at the dollar store. "kid" markers! ( I buy the good ones for other projects) stickers, and doodle pad!
then you take a picture of your darling children with their stickers! Say "cheese"
the next steps are backwards. Sorry about that. just think of this silly tutorial as being seen "re-wound". The finalstep is to staple your journal together.
but before you staple you must add your lined paper. For the smaller two, I added doodle paper instead.

the "18x22" piece of paper is first folded in half, booklet style.
Any color of your choosing.

So, now that you have seen the product, scroll up and see the steps!!!! Some day I will tech savvy and be able to figure out little glitches like this. Until then, feel free to chuckle as you make your own summer time journals. As far as the content. Emmah was excited. She is very aritistic and loves to write. She quickly drew a picture of her and her friends swimming and wrote a story about it. Bosston "drew" a picture. And Lucy scribbled all over her paper arms!!!! Dasher complained. He complained until I told him he only needed to write one sentence. That's it. He smiled and obliged. Call me crazy. But this summer is not about video games or tv. This summer is about doing things. New things. Silly things. And things that will help us become better people. Don't forget to follow our craziness all summer long. Just click FOLLOW! and you have a front row seat. I also hope you take some of our ideas from our to do list and try them out. Happy Summer.
