Happy Saturday....

The doll she wanted, the expression is priceless, and this is not a pose, this is Real!
Merry Christmas from the Durants.

Yes, there is a man under that beard. Thank goodness, it is gone.. the beard, not the man!

One of the many faces of Lucy. She has some amazing eyes, so be on the look out.

Dasher and Nick went to Star Wars in Concert....

It is 7:00 on Saturday night, and Bosston decided to take a "nap", yeah he's pretty much down for the night. The poor little guy has yet another cold. It's funny, one year, our whole household stays healthy, with not even a sniffle, and then the next, one or more of us gets something yucky. Just two weeks ago, Bosston had a little stomach bug, and now he is sick with a cold. I know what it is, mother nature can't seem to make up her mind, is it going to be sunny, or rainy, just pick one and stick with it for more than 24 hours.

Anyway, on another note, our life is pretty much still the same, since we left the planet. Nick is still in YM and well, that keeps him busy. Right now he is at the Temple, and even though I wanted to go with him, finding someone to watch the kids last minute, just didn't pan out. He is still at Chevron, and his employers can't find anything bad to say about him. He really is a great asset to the company. Thank goodness, because times are tough and scary for some. We had a nice time at their holiday dinner at this real fancy place. I got to wear my boots that I LOVE. I obviously still stay at home with the crazies. I am going to be taking the second set of cake classes here pretty soon. I really enjoyed the first set, and hope to find the second set just as fun. I am working out again, and I feel I am a little more serious about it this time. All of my friends look amazing and I want to look amazing too. I am still in primary, but it is fun and simple, so I will take it. Dasher is excelling in first grade and he loves every second of school. He is in an advanced reading group where he reads independently and then takes computerized tests. So far so good, and yes, I will toot a horn for him. Right now he and some of his classmates really enjoy reading the Magic Tree House collection. He is getting ready to go on his first field trip at the end of the month. Emmah is the social butterfly. She was invited to her first real birthday party where, the theme was Tea Party, so she got to dress up and have a fun time with some really cute girls in her class. Kudos to Gracies' mom for hosting, because the giggles were heard a mile away. She is catching on to reading and writing but her real passion is art. She is very creative and loves coming up with new creations. For Christmas, Grandma Durant got her a scrapbook to make, and that was the best thing yet. For a five( almost six) year old, she has filled it up quite nicely. She is still very opinionated about what she wears, and how she looks, but weren't we all at that age? Bosston, is funny as ever. Not much to say, he loves Super Why on PBS, and can sing the ABC's really well. He is starting to recognize letters on signs and such, but he is still in a diaper, and I just can't seem to convince him to wear underwear. This is my battle.... Lucy is a peach. She came into this world as not a good baby, and she challenged our whole family. Many nights were left sleepless, because, I was too tired to sleep, or I found myself in prayer pleading to Heavenly Father for help. Well, friends, those prayers were heard, and she is such a good baby now. She crawls, laughs, sleeps through the night on her own, and she is just a delight. I have always loved her, but I love her more now.

There is a quick update, and as promised some pictures too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update and the pictures...oh my gosh...I LOVE the one of Emmah on Christmas! That look is priceless, like you said! Nothing like being a kid at Christmas. Glad to hear all of them are doing well and that Lucy has improved...I'm sure that is a HUGE blessing for you and Nick. Good luck with the workouts. You are beautiful and you can do anything you set your mind to.

Hope to talk to you soon. Love and miss you. Let's start looking into a weekend for our girls' weekend...I really want to do it! xoxo
