A Chef, a Baker and a Candlestick Maker!

Remember that poem? Well, today Emmah took to the kitchen and Kitchen Aid and made our treat for Family Home Evening. We are having a talent show, so I was going to use my awesome recipe and baking skills as my talent, but Emmah said she wanted to make them, so now I have to think of another talent. Anyway, she did a great job. They look Ahh-MAAAAzing! I just walked her through the process and told her how to read a recipe and measure the ingredients. Future baker in the making? I think so!

We made an orange buttercream frosting and then added some edible pearls for sparkle. I know they are going to be so yummy!!!! Here's a contest... comment on this post and let me know your favorite recipe to make or bake and why. On Friday, I will pick at random one comment and that person will get their own batch of these yumm-o cookies!!! Let the contest begin... and let's really see who reads my blog. Don't worry, I will ship if I have to. Happy Reading and Good Luck.

I love your Banana Cake recipe. I am not just saying that to suck up. It really is my favorite. Non baked but delicious is nanaimo Bars. So divine.

Lemon Cake. Heaven in my mouth. Not the box, I mean the real Lemon Cake made with real lemons. So good. I am making it for Manager Friday. I make a treat every Friday for all the Managers at work. Last week I made Grandmas Chocolate Cake(also amazing) with Mint Candies in it. So Good. If you happen to pick me dont worry about making it. Love you and I read every single entry you write.

All I have to say about those cookies is "yummy, so yummy! There's a party in my tummy!" (Can you tell I have a kid who likes yo gabba gabba?) Emmah did an amazing job and I secretly wish I could eat them all!
I like a lot of baked goods, but I love homemade oreo cookies. So soft and wonderful;)

My favorite cookies are snickerdoodles -I have such wonderful memories of baking them with my grandma, who taught me all her baking secrets. I also love to bake a simple yellow cake with homemade chocolate frosting, and cinnamon bread. You don't have to ship me anything if I win, just wanted you to know I always always read and love your blog! :)

Actually I don't have a favorite. I have those that are my fall back on ones that we make all the time, but I like to try new things. Sometimes they are a hit and others they are a miss. It's just fun to try them.
