2nd graders' Meaning of Christmas

A friend of mine shared this experience with us today in Relief Society, I want to pass it along to my readers.
"I had the opportunity to be a guest reader in a 2nd grade classroom. It was around Christmas time and we had just finished our Christmas program. I began by telling the children that one of my favorite parts of Christmas is the stories. I love stories. Then some of the children went around telling their favorite parts of Christmas: presents, candy and Santa Claus. Then, one boy said, "it's about the Savior!" How that touched me, and the rest of the class. They continued to agree and talked of Baby Jesus." Her lesson today went on to talk about how all things are possible with the Savior. At the end of her lesson, she addressed me and asked, "Heidi, is it okay that we share this?" I shook my head yes and she proceeded, "that 2nd grader was Heidi's little guy, Dasher!" What a great example he is because of the example he has seen.

I was touched by this story. I am thankful for my Dasher. He is quite the guy. For my nonmember friends, if you have questions that have been in your mind, I encourage you to take a look at our new church website, www.mormon.org. You can find answers there!!!
as always, Happy Reading.
