2nd and 1st grade

We are really moving up in the world, and in just a couple of days, all day school, for Dasher and Emmah. No more fussing with half day kindergarten for us!!! This is a very good thing. We met the teachers tonight, Emmah: Mrs. Hunter; Dasher: Mr. Page. He is pretty stoked about having a guy teacher. He feels extra macho this evening. Both of the kids are so ready to get back in the swing of things. With school, is also coming chore charts. They are in the midst of being put together, but I have come to the conclusion that my children need responsibility, and frankly, I am sick of picking up their things. So, I will let you know how the whole chart thing goes!
Back to school, back to school, to prove to dad I'm not a fool. My lunch is packed, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. I love back to school.

I so know what you mean. I love that school brings a schedule for the whole family. We all seem to be a little happier with routine.

Good for you on the chore chart. We rotate by months who has what room to clean. Along with thier rooms. Makes for a much happier mommy when I'm not the only one cleaning up.

AWESOME!!!! Love the Chore chart idea....kids love chores..it makes them feel useful and an important part of the family. Responsibility and confidence is great to teach kids! It will also be nice to lighten the load:) Can't wait to hear how their first day went!
