Well, I wanted to add pictures of my favorite things, but blogger was not letting me do so! boo to blogger. Anyway, I was thinking this past weekend, (while shopping for school) that I love this time of year, here's what I love:
school supplies: I don't know what it is about a fresh pack of pens or beautifully sharpened crayons, but I love it. I love new notebooks, glue sticks, post it notes and everything in between. The best part: ON SALE!
eating lunch: while shopping, we had to eat lunch, and I love going to lunch. Sure, we eat out at dinner time everynow and then, but there is something different about the atmosphere, menu, and the behavior of the kids at lunch time. It really is a treat to go to lunch!
Herbal Essence: this shampoo just brings back SO many memories. I remember when this shampoo was super popular (high school days) and how I loved the way it made my hair smell. I had REALLY long hair and there was something about the freshness behind the essence. It also reminds of my friend, Jessica. I used to spend much of time at her house, and this was the shampoo of choice! I love memories.
new jammies: I usually get new jammies around December 25, but on Saturday, I indulged. They are soft, and comfy and not to mention cute with a touch of sass. I love them so much, that at 8pm Saturday evening, I was already in them. Nick told me he better not come home and find me in them:) Note to self, change at 4pm.
movie days with my kids: we rented 3 movies this weekend, 2 for the family, 1 for us. Diary of a wimpy kid, laughed, so funny and cute; Barbie Mermaid okay this one was for the kids, and When in Rome... yummy Josh Duhamel. I love just watching movies with my kids, and I have to remember to add this, Nick found my favorite theater candy: buncha crunch. Yay!
nightly "talks" with Nick: mostly me just rambling, but I love the quiet time with us where we connect and reconnect after a crazy day!
smiles on my kids' faces: this was a highlight of this past weekend. New clothes, shoes, supplies, and soccer stuff is a way to a kid's heart. I love my children so much, and I know these are just materialistic things, but they appreciate them, and they know that it took hard work, patience, and effort to get these things. We are wonderful children!
last but not least: Nick is my favorite:) and I love my blogs, and you!

I loved this blog entry! ...But I love your blog in general. Herbal Essences reminds me of you, too! I keep it in our guest room shower, brings back good memories. :) Love you and hope you're doing well.
