Posted by PicasaSo, for the party, each of the girls colored their hats to personalize them. After that was finished and done, we made pizza. I found this easy recipe for dough, and it made more than enough for each girl plus us. In fact, there is still a round in the fridge. While the girls were rolling their dough, they decided to become "professional bakers" and pat flour ALL over their faces. I think I am still sweeping that up!
The pizzas were easy and fun. I had them do it in steps, to try and control the mess. First roll the dough, then sauce it. After that came the MOUntaINS of cheese. Oh my those girls had a lot of cheese on the pizza. Then pepperoni. This is when it got funny. While placing the pepperoni on, all the girls just started singing, "PEPPERONI, PEPPERONI" with Italian accent and all. It was pretty funny. Then off to the oven and 12 minutes later... yummo!!
After pizza, we played telephone, simon says, hide and seek, duck duck goose, and go fish. Emmah opened presents, and parents started showing up. Phew!! I am tired reliving it!!!
This was the first year of birthday parties for us. Next, Bosston... Oh my, it is fun, a lot of work, but to see awesome smiles on their faces... TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! I love my children, and I love to make them happy!
