So, this is what happens when you leave a two year old with a sucker near a baby who wants it. She got the sucker stuck in her hair, but by the look on her face, she doesn't care.

Emmah made sucker bouquets. We just took a small sucker and stuck it through cardstock flowers that we made and decorated with stickers.

This is what I made.... alien love bugs, sucker bouquets, flower pot, "sticky"notes, and heart pillows. The flower pot was for Dasher's teacher, with a note inside, the "sticky" notes, were just a sucker taped to a note that said, "you can count on me when things get sticky!"

These are Dasher's alien love bugs. I was pleased with how they turned out.

Up close and personal with creatures from another place!!!!
Why can't we just call it a Valentines Day party? Emmah's teacher, as silly as it sounds, didn't think they needed to have a "party" so they had a "friendship celebration?!" I say, LAME, but nonetheless, we obliged and made goodies that were not "love or heart" related.
This year, I wanted to be "that mom" that made the valentines, and not just bought a boring card with a pencil. So, I got to thinking, and with a smidge of help of Family Fun magazine, this is what we came up with. Happy February 14th, that's what we'll call it!

Cute idea! Love the pic of Lucy with the pop in her hair...too cute (and funny!)! :)
LOVE the alien bugs!! All of the valentines are adorable, but the bugs are my favorite. Such a cute idea. I bet they were the hit of the "friendship celebration" (we can't call anything by its actual name anymore, lol). Happy Vday! xo
They turned out very cute!! I am impressed, it is one thing to think about doing it but to actually do it. Good job! I love Family Fun magazine.
