Yes, school is in session

I know this is crazy, but I am so glad that school started up again today. We had an unexpected added week of Christmas break due to all of our snow, and let me tell you, it was a mad house. We get so used to our routines and schedules, and then someone or some weather throws us a curveball. I am just glad that all the craziness is done.
It started to snow last night, and I just prayed that the accumulation would be minimal, and that nothing would get cancelled. Poor Nick is starting to get burned out, because even he had the entire week of Christmas off because of the snow. So the following week, he was home long enough to eat, shower, and sleep. It was a quiet New Years' Eve, Nick was up with the youth at an activity, and the kids were asleep by 8:30. I told Nick that next year, it is going to be about us, and I want a fun night out. Who knows what 2009 will bring. I am just hoping to take the next few months day by day, and hopefully the weather will remember that we live in the Northwest, and it is only to rain, not snow.
