Birthday Week

This week is such a special one, it's birthday time for two! We'd really like to celebrate this happy week with you! So, Zippity Ay, and Mom's the word, there's something we must do, We'll sing my favorite song, all week long, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WOMAN, and B-O-S-S-T-O-N!

So, this week will be a glorious week. Emmah turns the magical number of 7, and Bosston turns 4. A little part of me cringes to think that with my children getting older, they are that much closer to independence, and adulthood. First, comes the teenage years, but I will put that off as long as possible. May 25, 2004, our dear sweet Emmah was born. She, or should I say he (silly ultrasound) was perfect. She weighed 8# 1 oz, and was 19 in. A little butterball. Being our fattest baby, she is now just a bean pole. What an amazing person she is. Always willing to help out with whatever, and excels in all she puts her mind too. Of course, she's mine, so there is the occasionl reoccuring drama, but I have reaped what I sewed! I love her. She is beautiful, smart, passionate about her feelings, artistic, a good friend, and a wonderful daughter. I love you Emmah Louise. aka Lou Lou, Emmah Lou, and my favorite, but you must be her mom or dad, WOMAN!
Then, three years later (to the day) Bosston Nicholas Durant joined our family. Three of my four kids weighed the same 7# 4oz, and Bosston is one of the three. Of course, having already read the above part for Emmah, you probably already figured that out. He looked like a little old man when he was born, with a receding hair line and everything. He was wrinkled, but oh so sweet. I was wanting a baby so badly, and he filled that spot greatly. We all loved him from the very beginning, and that continues still today. His sense of humor, and desire to be the spotlight, constantly keeps us on our toes. We never know where the scary story will take us, or what will come out of his mouth. He is smart, funny, and just the most darn cute kid you will ever meet. Bosston Nicholas Durant aka BOB is one heck of a kid and we love you!!!
