Dear Readers,
Thank you so much for checking in on us! I have to apologize. I have neglected our family site, since beginning my reading adventure. Please forgive me, and I will try to do better.
Golly heck, I am so mad I forgot to post on 1-11-11! I didn't know what I wanted to post about, but I am sure I could've found something to make you smile and laugh. Aubrey, (little sis) had her baby on Monday. I love babies, if you couldn't tell, we have four! Quincee Southworth. That darn little cutie pa-tootie has given us a run for our money since the minute she was pulled out! Quincee took a huge gulp of fluid and that upset her breathing. She went on oxygen, had an IV got blood taken and an XRay. I am happy to report she has improved and she is so darling. We are headed down tomorrow to see that creation of Aubrey and Tylers.
So, I just got done reading The Help. It takes place down south and I have had a hard time talking right after reading their stories and such. I have had some bad grammar the past few days and even as I right this, I want to write and speak like Aibileen, and Minny. Please read that book. It is wonderful.
It is now 2011! I remember when it turned 2000 and everyone was anxious to see if the world was coming to an end. So, here we are now, in 2011! The kids are back to school, thank heavens. Everything is back to routine, and the house is starting to reorganized. I really want to accomplish some new decor to our home, but before we do that, some of this stuff just has to go. Eventually, I am going to put our leather couch and love seat on craigslist. We bought the set about three years ago, but I have changed my mind, and I just don't like it anymore. It is too cold to sit on, and I want a napping couch. I just have to find what I want before I sell the old! I am trying to make room for a piano, and hopefully by my birthday, I will have that done. We are going to repaint the front room and kitchen, and I really excited about that. Emmah and Lucy's room is going to get new carpet, and we might just do the other bedrooms also. I want to maybe frame in the washer and dryer to enclose it a little more and re-surface our kitchen cabinets. I know the list seems long, but the best part: Nick is already on board to let me do whatever I want. I love that man!!! It is going to be quite the construction zone, but it should look really nice when we are done. Then, I think we are going to sell and buy a bigger house! We outgrew this house the day we moved in, which by the way was January 16, 2006. We should have a party! We just might...
The kids need to go to bed. I need to finish packing for the weekend. I want to put pictures on, but I don't see that happening! Thanks for reading and as always, Happy Reading!
