The weekend before our big excursion, Nick took the kids up to Aberdeen, WA for the day. At first, I was a little sad for deciding not to go, but when I realized how much stuff I could get done uninterrupted, my mood quickly changed. So, while I packed the suitcases, cleaned the car, and house, got the oil changed, went to a bbq, spent time with Lucy, rearranged some furniture, packed some more, the kids and Nick were enjoying a day at the beach. What more could they ask for, Burger King for breakfast, and McDonalds' for lunch, plus sandcastle building, playing with cousins, and being with dad!!!?
