okay, if these two do not look alike in this picture, then I must be seeing things!
an action shot of Emmah running one of her 35 laps.

Dasher really is a good long distance runner too, he just ran because he "felt like running."

yes, I know, you might be thinking, "these don't look like crazy socks." well, my little drama queen, had me fit to be tied this day. I was so clever and just decided to glue colorful pom poms onto a pair of leggings for crazy sock day. I got my supplies ready, jumped in feet first into this project ( no pun intended) and a couple of burns later from the hot glue gun, the tights were ready. Well, Emmah told me, "I'm not wearing those." So, I gave her the silent treatment for awhile, got off my high horse, and then she decided she was going to wear them. So, she put them on, said they were itching her, went to take one of the pom poms off and ended up cutting a hole in the tight so she couldn't even wear them if she wanted too, so these are the socks she wore!

Dasher looks really tall in this picture, but this is the same thing that he wore last year too. The socks at least, but hey he participated and that is all that matters right?!

Even Bosston had to get in on Hat day!!

Luckily for us, the Dollar Store had these hats!

Crazy hair day, well not really that crazy, but for some reason, she was being shy this day, and so I curled her hair and said it looked like a spider web, and her pig tails up front are crooked.

Guess what? these hats were only a dollar too, imagine that at the dollar store!!! he he he

yeah, sometimes, if I need to get stuff done, and Lucy decides to be my shadow, I stick her in her high chair with a yummy treat (chocolate cookie this time) and she is just fine. I know, first time parents are probably freaking out that she is not even a year yet and already having chocolate, and all I say, is "your views will change with the next one!!!"
I find myself reading blogs more than updating my own, but we all know how it is? We say we have no time, but then after spending like 2 hours a day on facebook, and then 2 more hours reading actual updated blogs, our "day" in front of the computer is over. So, this blog is just a grouping of the "going ons" with the Durants, and here is caption in no particular order to whats been going on since our last post. (Almost a month ago)
Okay, spirit week, in honor of Dr. Suess birthday was a huge success. With hat day, crazy hair, sock and topped off with school pride day and fun run, that week was a whirlwind. I volunteered up at the fun run and came home just exhausted. I was proud and impressed with my kiddos too, Dasher ran 39 laps and Emmah 35. (laps were around the gym) They had a great time, and I felt good giving back to my kids' school. I really do love McBride Elementary, and just today found myself back up there for a music program put on my the first grade, but I will tell you more about that later. (I promise)
I received a new calling in church. I am now the Stake YW camp activities director. A little nervous, but excited all the same. Oh, yeah, Bosston for FHE the other week, wanted to sing, We will Rock You as our opening song!!!! He is a crazy kid. My parents are coming for spring break, but we are talking about the past... we got our food storage underway, I have been more diligent with my workouts!!!! Dasher has monochromatic as one of his spelling words, Emmah got her award and she really is a great student. Lucy is turning one and we are in no hurry for her to start walking! We have been busy with birthday parties, yard work, being a family, and daddy working ALOT of overtime :( Okay, so on with the pictures, as they will probably be above this post!!!!
