Well, we probably should not have gone, because Dasher was still coughing like crazy, but Nick had worked so hard on his car, that we just went. So, we get there and ate a not so great breakfast, but oh well, you don't go for the food. Let the race begin. I don't really remember my brothers doing the whole derby thing, so this was all new to me. If you've seen the movie, Down and Derby, then you know what I am talking about. Of course, the movie is a little far fetched, but it does a pretty good job. Overall, Nick's car took third. The funny thing is once we got home, Dasher was just playing with the car at the counter, and totally broke the spoiler off. Oh well, just a piece of wood with wheels.... Until next race day.

oh the pinewood derby, how fun! Doug might be taking a little boy next week, because his dad is in Iraq, and his mom is going in for surgery, I told him its a MAYBE, but he is so excited, because its been so long! Third place is pretty good! boys and their toys!
