Family Vacation

Nick thought this statue was worth documenting

Theres our kite off in the distance

My three all ready to go have some fun

Emmah as Sharpay

Bosston as a skeleton

Home sweet home for the week

Even though this was the day it rained, my kids still wanted to go play in the sand.

Don't you love how this says no trespassing, but here we are.

Bosston was asleep, but this picture would make such a cute Christmas card.

See, I told you he was asleep. This was the only nap he took this day too.

Emmah running down to the beach.

Beautiful Oregon Coast. It was really cold this day.

This was our room for the week. It was bigger than it looks

Bosston playing on the stairs in his jammies.

This kitchen was pretty impressive. We made some yummy food.

We spent this last week with Nick's family in Lincoln City. This vacation could not have come at a better time, for I was so in the need of some time off. We rented this amazing beach house where the kids could run and play and the parents could just relax. The weather was awesome for October too. It only rained one day, Monday, and the rest of the week was filled with blue skies, and at least 55 degrees. Fabulous!! We played a lot, and ate some really good food. We bought our first kite. We had been wanting to get one for a really long time, so we finally broke down and got one. The cool thing about this one is you don't have to reset it up everytime. It just folds flat and when you are ready to use it, it just pops open. Well worth the few extra dollars we had to pay for it. Nick was able to fly it a couple of times, and the beach was so peaceful, I can see why people own beachfront property. If only we could all afford it.
We had a Halloween party for the kids. Bosston was a skeleton, Emmah was Sharpay from HSM, and Dasher was a Raving Rabbit from his video game. I was impressed with his creativity and cleverness to come up with a costume that didn't cost a lot of money. I am not a huge fan of Halloween, and I can for sure find better things to do with money than spend on costumes. Anyway, just me. We also went to the "outlet" malls but I don't think they are outlet prices. I think it is just a giant strip mall with select things on sale. None the less, we had fun window shopping. It was a fun week, and I can't wait for Nick to take some more time off. I wish all dads had the luxury of working from home, but for us, he has to go to work.
Here are some pics of the week. I am not always good about remembering my camera, but I did take some pictures. Enjoy!!!!!
