Alas, it had to come to an end....

It has been a couple of days since I have updated the blog. Again, no excuses. Well, this last weekend, we went to a family reunion up in Washington. It was a lot of fun, and the weather was great. It wasn't cold, and best of all, it did not rain. That was the weekend.
As for an update on my "nursing" issue. A couple of weeks ago, I was in total pain with my cracking and bleeding. Well, after much thought, fight, and determination, I have called it quits. I was just not healing. They weren't getting worse, but they also weren't getting better. I tried everything I could think of.... cremes, lotions, butters, pumping, medicated pads, but still nothing. So, with screaming baby in hand, the bottle went to the mouth, and she drank and drank until it was empty. Low and behold she was happy, she was content, she was full. I tried the whole nursing and bottle combo for about a week. I just love her so much, I wanted to give it a longer run, but I could nurse her on both sides, and she still would empty an entire four ounces of formula. So, the crazy thing is I decided to be done with nursing while camping. Oh well, it is almost over. She is only two months old, but I gave it my all!! She is so much happier now and that so makes up for it.

It's SpiderMan!!

Monday morning, Dasher comes into the family room fidgeting. I told him to stop fidgeting, because it bugs me, and it was also 6:45 am... here's how the next few minutes went.
D: "I'm itching mom, I have bumps on my back."
M: "those bumps are your spine."
D: "No, right here, mom!
(he then lifts up his shirt and sure enough a bug bite, there is also one of his butt cheek)
M:"Oh, it looks like you either got bit by a bug or a spider."
D:"It wasn't a spider mom."
M:"Well, you can't feel the spider bite you, so you don't know if it was a spider or a bug."
D:"It wasn't a spider because watch this." (he then holds his hand out like spiderman does)"See, nothing comes out mom."
It took me a second to realize what he was doing. I couldn't even respond, once I figured out what he meant, I just started laughing. He was thinking that if it was a spider that bit him, then he too would've turned into spiderman.
